The wholesale price for the books is 40% off of the retail price of your book. So– Paperback = 40% of $19.99 is $8.00. 19.99 – 8 = Wholesale price of $11.99 Hardcover = 40% of $28.99 is $11.60. 28.99 – 11.60 = Wholesale price of $17.39.

The price may deviate by a few cents based on whichever calculator is being used, but this should be accurate.
